Emily Yeates’ kitchen features large-scale subway tiles with thick grout lines for an updated look on traditional subway backsplashes. Soft white cabinetry flows throughout the space making soapstone countertops a natural fit to break up the simple color scheme and incorporate a restored, antique 1930’s oven. This oven is Emily’s “Favorite piece” in her entire home. Touches of red can be found scattered throughout her kitchen – in her cookware, mixer, scale and even the darling oven knobs. It’s simple design features like this that makes a room feel complete..

Clever Kitchen

Floating shelves and open storage is a great way to maximize an otherwise limited space. It offers room to store ingredients, small appliances and other kitchen essentials without the clutter. In Emily’s home, it also serves as a clever office space.

Wood Floors
