Restoration in its glory

Emily’s bathroom took on some major projects and the result? Fabulous design with a side of charm. As the shower came tumbling down during the renovation, Emily was pleasantly surprised to discover a brick wall that became a feature of this room. It is now a stunning backdrop for a pre-1900’s clawfoot tub that Emily restored herself to its original glory. The birch style wallpaper is decorated with round floating mirrors making the room feel like a retreat, and the barn shutters that were painted to match the rectangular mirror offers a balance of comforting color. To bring the room together, eye-catching black and white basket weave ceramic tiles flood the floor.

Paint & Paper

The wainscoting that flows throughout the home is painted a warm gray shade from Martha Stewart’s line called Flagstone, and the rustic yet modern birch wallpaper is from Cole & Sons.
