Make Your Own YarDstick Stool

Use some old yardsticks and a worn, wooden stool to make this vintage-inspired yardstick stool.

Materials and tools Needed

  • Old YardSticks
  • Wooden Stool
  • Wood Glue
  • Pencil
  • Saw

Step One

Place the yardsticks on the top of the stool, and plan out how you would like them to look. Once the yardsticks are in a staggered formation, use a pencil to mark where they will be cut. Use a saw to cut the yardsticks on the pencil marks.

Step Two

Rearrange the yardsticks on top of the stool. Adhere the yardsticks one-by-one to the top of the stool with wood glue.
