Outfitted with a selection of furnishings from Saint Dizier Home and LEE Industries’ outdoor collection, this hidden grotto makes a beautiful setting to showcase these furnishings. Jacques dressed the table with translucent green glasses and neutral artisan place settings from his shop, capturing the essence of the natural surroundings. Jacques mixed a rustic Jan Barboglio candle centerpiece with delicate gold nests and fresh eggs from his brood to create this inviting tablescape.
The Traditional Home’s Showhouse, with each room decorated by by a different interior designer, is open tour until November 30, 2013. Tickets $40 Don’t miss the newly renovated Redwood Cellar.
Behind the Design
California is home to interior designer Jacques Saint Dizier, owner of Saint Dizier Home in Healdsburg. Jacques and his staff transform houses into comforting homes by understanding his clients and their needs. No detail is overlooked and he believes that is what makes a home unique and meaningful to the owner.
Food, Wine & Film
Amidst world-class food, an abundance of wine and the natural beauty of the showhome’s Grotto at Charles Krug Winery, guests previewed Napa Valley’s upcoming film festival selection of the best independent films highlighting the realities of the human condition. The festival celebrates the art of visual storytelling and spurs lively conversation between filmmakers and viewers with the goal of enriching the cultural landscape and bringing to light economic diversity.
Charles Krug Winery is a family winery above all else. Founded in 1861, Charles Krug introduced the cider press for winemaking, which is still on display at the winery. In 1943, the business “changed” hands to the Mondavi Family who honors it’s roots today, pioneering efforts to plant vineyards in the Carneros Regions, use sterile filtration techniques and age wine in small French oak barrels.
