Ripe and Tabla Featured in Where Women Cook

Keeping it in the family

When it comes to the non-franchised restaurant business, there is usually an implication of it being a “family owned-and-operated” sort of deal. For downtown El Paso hubs Ripe and Tabla, this just so happens to be the case.

Brother and sister duo Adam Lampinstein & Becky Atkins opened Ripe Eatery in 2007, and after much success decided to broaden their horizons. Cue Tabla, their most recent endeavor, a restaurant with a Spanish-European food flair. It seems to us that food runs in their family, and for that, we are thankful.

If you ever find yourself wandering around in this westernmost point in Texas, stop by and see what this family is all about; we’ll bet that you might even go back for seconds.
