Perfectly Pink & Mint
With cherry blossom season in full swing, April showers making way for multicolored May flowers, and pale blue spring skies overhead…springtime is the perfect time for pastels! There’s a reason so many designers love working with this palette (and not only because 2016’s Pantone Colors of the Year are a pale pink & blue shade). Pastel colors are bright and energizing without being overpowering, and therefore a fantastic way to invigorate a space with color. The REstyle team is especially loving this palette when paired with a touch of chinoiserie, to create the perfect ‘Pastel Pagoda’. Floral flourishes and gilded accents look just right with just a touch of Asian flair–think cherry blossoms, bamboo, and peaked arches…but don’t overdo it on the gilded dragons. A little goes a long way! See below for a few examples that our trend spotters picked up on lately, and don’t miss our REstyle Picks so that you can create a Pastel Pagoda of your own!
