You don’t need a bow or a Cupid to send off these arrows, just a few simple materials and a whole lot of love. Carol Spinski of Raised in Cotton made these sweet creations and shared her instructions. Anything that uses old-fashioned crepe paper and book pages says “love” to us.

Materials and Tools Needed

  • Crepe paper streamers
  • Brown tree wrapping paper
  • 6” Wooden dowelS
  • Vintage book pages
  • Tacky glue
  • Glitter (optional)
  • Brown ink pad (optional)



1. Cut 2 identical heart shapes for the arrow point using either the brown tree wrap paper or book pages.
2. Cut 2 identical rectangles from crepe paper or tree wrap for the feather ends. Length depends on the desired size of the arrow.
3. Sandwhich the hearts at the end of the dowel, placing glue in the center to secure. Repeat at the other end using the rectangles.
4. Fringe each side of the rectangles to create the feather ends.

Optional :
Use the brown ink stamp pad to darken the edges of the tree wrap arrow point for a more rustic look.
Line the edges of the arrow points in glitter.
