Local Love in Bloom
In order to properly kick off the festivities of Local Love week, FOUND by domestic bliss hosted a Local Love in Bloom blogger event with some local lifestyle, fashion, party, and foodie bloggers. Plenty of fresh flowers, and miniature (and completely delicious, we might add!) homemade cakes were enjoyed by all. What more could you ask for from a party? Throw in some fantastic goodie bags from T. Madison and some fruity champagne, and you’ve got yourself a successful event that will be chatted about for weeks. The ladies enjoyed themselves as they learned how to make floral arrangements from local florist Hoot & Holler, adorned little homemade cakes made by Joanna Meyer of Baked by Joanna, and sipped flavorful champagne made by Kim of The TomKat Studio. Other guests included Becki Crosby of Whippy Cake, Summer Bellessa of The Girls with Glasses, Alex Evjen of Avestyles, Reachel Bagley of Cardigan Empire, Laurel Morley of Sweet Laurel, and photographer Rennai Hoefer of Ten 22 Studio.
Local Love in Bloom was such a fantastic evening for all participants, and the perfect kickoff to a week of celebrations, discounts and giveaways! It could almost have been intimidating to be in the presence of so much creative talent packed into one room, but instead everyone was laid back, friendly, and excited to meet & mingle. Drinks were sipped, cake was eaten (which perfectly complemented the lovely ‘Cake Vintage‘ products supplied by our pals & partners at Hester and Cook), wholehearted laughs were had, the ever-changing and inspiring displays at FOUND by domestic bliss were admired. The way we see it, that’s the epitome of Local Love Week – to bring together so many local businesses and personalities, some of whom are old friends and some of whom are just becoming new ones!
To close the week’s festivities (although we celebrate Local Love all year long in our hearts), FOUND by domestic bliss hosted a full day of events on Valentine’s Day including nibbles and sips by local favorites like AJ’s Fine Foods and Wedge & Bottle, a lovely gift basket giveaway, a jewelry pop-up shop by Anne King of Dos Fannies, a return visit by Beck Crosby of Whippy Cake who hosted a Designer Lip Bar that got everyone smooch-ready for the big day of romance, and hand-drawn Valentines and custom chalk art by Laurel Morley.
It’s always a wonderful feeling to host an event like Local Love Week and watch new connections being formed online that will transform into new business, collaborations, and even lifelong friendships. That’s what the overall mission of REstyleSOURCE is all about, and it was such a thrill for us at FOUND by domestic bliss to have helped bring everyone together. How will YOU celebrate Local Love all year round?
