Inspired by YOLO Colorhouse’s palette of neutrals, this small but mighty workspace provides a great place to pay bills, catch up on calls, and organize the calendar for the week. Neutrals don’t have to be BORING, the right neutral can provide the perfect foundation to build upon and can actually make a smaller room look larger.

Getting Organized

Especially in a tight work space, neutrals help to keep things looking cleaner and more organized.

Some of our favorite neutral ingredients as shown here:

  • Clips, twine, office supplies, notecards and daily necessities are housed in an industrial trolley and add a playful touch to the workspace. (A fantastic organizer for craft rooms and wrapping stations too.)
  • Kraft folders and binders to keep things organized.
  • An oversized bulletin board in a neutral linen to post your current projects, photos and calendar.
  • Black and White pictures in neutral tones of cream, grey and taupe of the ones we love.

Picking a shade

-Be sure to get samples of the paints you are considering, greys and taupes can be a bit challenging because they look much different depending on the amount of light and shadowing in the space. Make sure to let your samples dry completely before making a decision on color.
-If you have a lot of white trim, go lighter, as your paint will appear much darker.
