Show your school spirit

Classes have begun and while students hit the books, the only thing they really have in mind is the first game of college football season. Like most, we are celebrating in tailgating-style with family and friends. Show off your team spirit with these Collegiate paper goods from our friends at Hester and Cook Design Group.  Whether it’s outside the cheering stadium before the big game or at home filled with guests and plenty of sporty eats, there’s a perfect football party for everyone.

So how can you host an exciting football gathering?

Decorate your space with school colors, pennants and even a football that you can use during half-time to toss around.

Speaking of fun games, cornhole and ladder ball make for terrific pre-game and half-time entertainment.

Be sure to serve plenty of finger foods that can be easily grilled or preassembled so you can spend more time enjoying your party with guests.

Have a large galvanized bucket filled with ice to keep your beverages refreshingly chilled. If little ones are attending, be sure to separate the alcoholic drinks from the soda and water.

Provide individually portioned desserts for easy serving. Our favorites include cupcakes, brownies and fruit parfaits that can be assembled with fruits matching your team’s colors.

And if you want to cut down on the work, make it a potluck. It’s a great way to taste new foods, reduce stress and get everyone involved. Football is a team effort after all.
