Jenni Bowlin From Where Women Cook
City Meets Country
PHOTOS COURTESY OF WHERE WOMEN COOK
Sometimes country traditions can change the style of a city girl – that’s exactly what happened when Jenni Bowlin spent some time with her husband’s grandmother. Jenni filled her Tennessee home with time-worn pieces like rustic farm tables, painted furnishings and various vintage collections to create this lovely Tennessee farm-style space.
The focal point of her dwelling is the kitchen that was specially created to open up to the surrounding rooms so she can spend time with her family. Farmhouse-style open shelving displays her collection of everything white transforming everyday dishes and pitchers into an artful vignette that is as beautiful as it is useful.
To balance out the white, Jenni brings in rich wood tones in ceiling beams, countertops and more to warm the space – something that was inspired by her antique pie safe.
