Share the #DesignLove with us
Welcome to Design Love Wednesday! From interior designers to DIY blogs, visual artists and more, the REstyleSOURCE team has a growing #DesignLove list that we just couldn’t keep to ourselves anymore. We’re going to share a new group of creatives with you every Wednesday on Instagram, so don’t forget to follow us over there @restylesource, if you don’t already. Now, on to the design love!
A self-described ‘Jane of all trades’ and a maker of anything and everything, Gwen Hefner is the Makerista. Her Instagram feed is bursting with color–royal blue, kelly green, bright magenta, she’s not afraid of any of it!–and sass, and wonderful interior design ideas. Gwen is like the fun, talented new best friend you always wanted….oh, and she’s a Domino Style Influencer and was BHG’s Design Blog of the year in 2015, which is kind of a big deal. Get to following the Makerista!
Grant Gibson’s Instagram feed is much like his design work: well-composed, modern and refined, yet still playful. After all, for every shot of a beautiful room or piece of furniture there’s a whimsical curveball: a lobster roll, a hot air balloon, a portrait of his adorable dog Wesley the Westie. We love it all! We’re particularly obsessed with Grant’s knack for patterns (whether it’s textiles, herringbone tile, or perfect & breathtaking wallpaper)….meet your new favorite follow!
Design nomads Tara Mangini and Percy Bright, aka the Jersey Ice Cream Co., are out there living their best life. These ‘homeless home designers’, as they’d call themselves, travel from project to project leaving a trail of perfectly curated rooms and hand-plastered walls behind. They document every exotic location and project, plus all the quiet moments in between, on their Instagram, and you do not want to miss a single stunning image!! Trust us on this.
Just perusing Susan’s Instagram feed, Kindred Vintage, is enough to relax anyone. The soft, muted pastels and bright sunlit rooms fill you with a sense of inner peace and well-being….until the perfectly weathered antiques and gorgeously styled rooms fill you with a sense of envy! Plus, it’s not all whites & pastels chez Kindred, this girl also knows how to rock a bright peony pink or a fierce navy accent wall like no other. It’s hard not to want to live in Susan’s world (their home is a lovingly restored 1920s brick bungalow, and it’s majorly crushworthy), but the next best thing is following along with her photos for some daily design inspiration!
