Cranberry Spiced Cider with Simple & Crisp

The beautiful thing about mulled ciders, as the author of this recipe says, is that they don’t leave you feeling bogged down like thick, sweet cocoa recipes – rather, they leave you feeling warm, comforted, and refreshed. While a good cup of hot chocolate (or dare we say, salted caramel mocha?!) definitely has it’s time and place, you need a drink with more longevity for keeping warm all Winter long. This cranberry spiced cider is exactly that drink; full of warm Winter flavor,  it’s less likely to leave you feeling weighty and more likely to keep you nice and toasty without tiring. We love this recipe because you can make a big batch of it and just reheat it as you go…although, we’re willing to bet it’ll be gone before it even gets the chance to cool off!

Cranberry Spiced Cider
Recipe type: Drink
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Tablespoon whole cloves
  • 8 cups cranberry juice
  • 6 cups apple juice
  • *Optional - Cheesecloth
  1. Combine and stir all ingredients in a slow-cooker/ crock-pot, and let cook for 3-6 hours.
  2. *You may put cloves in cheese cloth to make serving easier, or strain before serving.
  3. Serve and enjoy!
