Coastal Living Office Space

Coastal Living Office Space 2014 Showhouse

The sophisticated study

This little office space by Burnham Design has it all: functionality, charm, sophistication, and books to keep you company. What more could you want in a workspace? We love the clean lines and minimalistic feel of this room – an office should be kept uncluttered, to keep your mind focused and free of distraction. The variety of seating at the compact desk space is perfect for project collaboration or a friendly game of cards. We love the pattern of the slipcovered sleeper sofa paired with the movement in the wallpaper; it creates an energy in the room that is chic and cool for company, but inviting and soothing for an afternoon nap.

Keep it Simple

This neutral space is the perfect office environment because it’s soothing, and doesn’t make for an overwhelming or distracting space. When choosing a color palette for a workspace, make sure to choose something calming and conducive to allow your creative juices to flow, but not so soothing that it makes you drowsy. Finding that perfect balance is key-and pops of rich color such as the rug help to keep this space from being too subtle.
