Coastal Gray Bath Bella Interiors

Once a hall bath that was outdated and tight on space, this fresh new Coastal Gray Bath was designed by Jill Kalman of Bella Interiors. Her favorite room element is the flooring, which is porcelain tile from Porcelonosa that’s created to resemble gray wood, giving the bath a sleek, coastal feel. This driftwood-inspired flooring served as the room’s main inspiration, and from there the Carrera marble, paint color and other decorative elements were selected.

Jill says, “Our biggest challenge was the tight space. We eliminated the tub and placed a marble shower with glass doors in the space to really help open up the area.”

Why We Love It

This revived hall bath now feels fresh, sleek and current, yet still comforting–the soft grays with those pops of sunshine yellow are like a refreshing cloudy Connecticut day with hints of bright sun between the clouds. The overall neutral, coastal gray tones help to provide a sense of soothing seaside relaxation.

The perfect neutral, driftwood gray that ties the walls in with the rest of the room is paint by Farrow and Ball in Cornforth White. Tilt mirror and lights shown are from Restoration Hardware, with classic Carrara marble counters used throughout.
