Pops of Print

Designed by Kim Sankey of Gatehouse, this space has an immediate feeling of grandeur upon entering, which is repeated constantly throughout the beautifully designed home. Open and spacious, this neutral toned space remains far from boring with the use of various prints to keep things lively and full of movement. From the playfully patterned rug to the perfectly placed assortment of pictures above the staircase, this coastal-inspired design keeps you engaged from one room to the next.

What is your favorite piece/design element of this space?
KS: The entry way; we found the perfect console! In this case, this console had an Asian influence adding a unique element…especially with the mercury lamps and mother of pearl mirror.

Were you inspired by anything in particular when designing this space?
KS: Our client wanted a sophisticated coastal look, so we took all of our inspiration from that.

What sets this space apart from other designs that you have done?
KS: Although it has a coastal feel, our client left room for us to venture away from what we are known for. It was fun; we were able to add a spin on “coastal” with different textures, fabrics, and prints!

We absolutely love mixing textures, pieces, unique items, and fabrics to create a one-of-a-kind feel to each design.

A casual living store where indoor and outdoor spaces are reflective of one another. Outdoor fabrics, organic palettes, and natural wicker inspired everything about our look. Quality is key, style is important but should be functional, but still coming home to fresh and hip, traditional and warm, cozy and coastal or whatever it is that makes your home – home.
