A weekend of relaxation calls for a recipe idea that evokes getaways to your favorite countryside B&B. An easy pop-in-the-oven recipe to fill the kitchen with scents of fresh farmers market apples and rich cinnamon.

Caramel Apple Baked Oatmeal

Author:
Ingredients
  • ½ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup of almond milk
  • 2 pinches of sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ Tbsp sweet cream butter, browned
  • 1 green apple, sliced
  • 1½ Tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Brown butter and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Lightly butter the inside of ramekins.
  3. In a medium sized bowl, mix oats, milk, sea salt, cinnamon and browned butter.
  4. In a medium sized saucepan, combine apple slices, butter and brown sugar. Cook on medium no more than 5 minutes. Butter and sugar will create your caramel sauce.
  5. Spoon oat mixture into ramekins and top with sliced apples and caramel sauce.
  6. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until bubbly and serve warm.
