A NEW LOOK FOR A CLASSIC COMBINATION

We saw it everywhere at the New York Gift Show: black and white and mod all over. It’s been one of our favorite pairings for years, but new high gloss finishes and funky shapes have us extra excited about this classic coupling.
The high contrast of black and white make a room instantly interesting and glamourous. (Hello, Coco Chanel.)
To add some of that mod pop to any room
– Just add wallpaper. Try a big, funky pattern in a powder room and let the compliments roll in.
– For a small statement, try a pillow or two. Black and white’s neutral nature make these easy to mix into your home.
– Look for black lacquer. Its glossy sheen equals insta-glam, especially on a piece with interesting lines. Try this shapely console table against a stark white wall.
– If you’re feeling pattern-shy, try some graphic boxes on an end table.
Be brave. If your room gets lots of natural light, paint your walls black. Add white trim for pop and contrast. Designers swear by Benjamin Moore’s Decorator’s White.
