Twas the Night Before Christmas

The holidays can be a hectic and busy time, but I never want that to prevent me from inviting friends and family around my table. That is why I am so in love with the Kitchen Papers products from Hester & Cook. They are the perfect way to bring elegance to your table – with easy set up and more importantly – quick clean-up, with no sacrifice of style.

I created a Christmas table that also ties in one of our family traditions.  Even though our girls are quite a bit older now, they still read The Night Before Christmas every Christmas eve with their dad. I wrote all the words to the poem (at least as much as I could fit!) with a chalk ink marker on blackboard table runner paper.   I then layered in gold dotted paper placemats, inexpensive gold chargers, cream color china and topped it all off with an elegant paper napkin.

Whether you are using casual plates or your finest china, whether you use The Night Before Christmas or a different family favorite, the mixture of black and white with gold accents is a perfect fit for a holiday table.
