Bath and Body Holiday Gifts

Make It Yourself

Contributed by Laurel Morley of Sweet Laurel

When the holidays roll around, people often flutter into a frenzied panic trying to buy creative gifts for everyone on their list. However, while this can not only get expensive, it can often become impersonal as well. The original intent of gift giving is often lost in the hurried holiday rush, and instead of being a joy it can become a burden. This year, we’re suggesting that you try something new. A handmade gift can often speak volumes above a Black Friday bargain; not only does it give an added personal touch to give gifting, but it can also lessen the dent in your bank account that the holidays tend to bring. We love these delightfully fragrant bath and body gift recipes concocted by Sweet Laurel. Easy to make and a joy to give, we hope that you’ll consider making some homemade gifts this holiday for your loved ones. Just be sure to make a few extras…we know you’ll be tempted to keep some for yourself! See instructions and materials for 4 gourmet bath and body holiday gifts below.

Relaxing Chamomile & Lavender Bath Tea

Dried chamomile and lavender flowers, both of which are known as excellent mild sleep aids, can also be relaxing for your skin! Chamomile helps to soothe skin irritation and promote healing, while lavender decreases anxiety and can help to soothe sore muscles.

Chamomile & Lavender Bath Tea Materials

• 1 small cotton muslin bag or pouch     • 1 tablespoon chamomile     • 1 tablespoon dried lavender     • 1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves

Chamomile & Lavender Bath Tea Instructions:
  1. Place ingredients in a small cotton drawstring bag, pull string to close.
  2. This recipe will make enough to fill one reusable bag (good for one bath). A nice gift idea would be to make alarge jar of bath tea mixture and give it to the recipient with one reusable bag and instructions for filling it over and over again for dozens of relaxing baths!
