Angela Hardison Faves In PHX

“I love finding places that are doing something cool or fun or different,” says Angela Hardison, a REstyleSOURCE scout. She loves dinners with her husband in local restaurants, where she might discover the season’s first soup or see the chef working back in the kitchen. To Angela, shopping local means finding things she doesn’t see everywhere else, while putting her money back into her city. “They’re here. I’m here. We’re trying to make it better.” “I just love the sense of community, more than anything,” she says.

1. The Tuck Shop:

“It feels special. I love that it’s small, quaint, and in a historic neighborhood. Their food is amazing and the menu changes with the seasons. I love their flapjacks — pitas with vegetables & hummus.”

2. Bertha’s Cafe:

“It’s tucked away in a strip mall, so it’s kind of unassuming, and I like that about it. This is a quick place to drop in where everything is good: delicious sandwiches, salads and desserts.”

3. Red Modern Furniture:

“I love to go here and dream about owning all of the authentic midcentury pieces. The taste and quality is impeccable.”

4. GROWop:

“GROWop is a community of artists in downtown Phoenix, only open on the weekends. They have a lot of found, vintage and handmade things — clothing, home goods, art and more. My best find was a yellow vintage dress.”
