We hope that you had a blast during our third annual LEE loves Local week! Each February, independent businesses & LEE Industries come together to host community driven events. Our third annual LOVE LOCAL week was stronger than ever, with 225 events across North America. Here is a sampling of how some of the LEE loves LOCAL partners celebrated this year. Bedford Brown hosted an open house for the LEE Loves Local week with adult beverages and delicious treats. They invited local Portland artisans to join in on the fun.

Blu d’or Interiors hosted a celebration on Feb 4th with local artists, Sarah Robertson, Emily Ozier, Gina Cella Aaron and Hillary Butler.

Door County Nature Works kicked off their LEE loves Local sale with an open house at Designworks with Chocolate Martinis and other sweet snacks.

FOUND by domestic bliss
FOUND hosted a “Meet the Makers, the Movers, and Shakers” event featuring local artisans, makers & influencers. They also included deals on LEE purchases to make this event even sweeter.

Gatehouse hosted candle-making and calligraphy classes along with sweet treats and refreshments for LEE loves Local. They teamed up with a local charity, Environmental Nature Center, who is building a pre-school in the community. It brought in so many people and young families being introduced to LEE, the Gold standard in eco upholstered furniture.

Left Bank Home had treats from Chive Café, their go-to local lunch spot, and delicious coffee from Homestead Coffee Roasters. Local artist Gordon Haas showcased his work and did a signing for his book, “No, I’m Not Starving” and local musicians played love songs.

McKee and Company
McKee and Company shared the local love by giving back a percentage of proceeds to MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers). Their event included a drawing for a $500 shopping spree, Sidecar Donuts, and a trunk show featuring amazing Recycled Flannel shirts.

Artist Lauren Barksdale and lighting and accessories designer Michael Clement were the featured artists at SummerHouse’s event. Proceeds from the sale of their creations, money raised from the drawing, and SummerHouse sales the day of the event will benefited Stewpot Community Services.
